Memorizing scripture is the best way to make sure that the word of God is with me whenever and where ever I need it. As King David said, 'I have hidden you word in my heart so that I will not sin against you.' Temptation will never come to me when I am sitting at my desk in front of an open Bible. But if I memorize the word of God, I will have it there, ready to use when temptations come. It seems to me that God works to change my character through his word. The more exposure I have to it, the better off I will be. He has given me everything I need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him. Certainly the only thing which teaches about God is his word. If I want to attain to a life of godliness, if I want to have any sort of wisdom or understanding then the starting point is a solid foundation in the word of God. Therefore, I must take seriously the task of memorizing scripture and never loose interest in doing so.

1. I resolve that no matter how busy I am I will not let a day go by without at least spending some time reviewing my verses.

2. I resolve to spend a few moments at the end of each week to analyze my productivity during the previous week. I state that the purpose of this self-evaluation is to ensure that from week to week I remain focused on the goal of memorizing scripture to the best of my ability.

3. I resolve that I will work as hard as I can, yet pace myself so that I can make memorizing scripture a pernament part of my life.

4. I resolve that I will always carry with me some verse cards so that whenever I have an opportuinity I will be able to look at them

5. I further resolve that I will endever to fill my spare moments with the meditation on God's word.

6. Be it resolved that Bible study and application will always be a significant part of my scripture memory program.

7. Resolved, that I will ensure that all the verses I learn are learned with 100% accuracy and I will not set a verse card aside until I have mastered it.
